In 2002 I had lots of great Italian food, while working as a visiting researcher in Interaction Design Institute in Ivrea. I worked with my friend and associate professor Michael Kieslinger on the Fluidtime project.
 

Our research question is on the perception of time and mobile communication. Absolute time — like the milk which expires on the stroke of midnight — may not make sense. Technology offers us many opportunities to manage our time and schedule in fluid, natural ways. So we explore these opportunities and scenarios, and build prototypes to demonstrate our concepts.
 

Fluidtime was presented in many conferences, including Doors of Perception and UbiComp. It is now an exciting startup company in Vienna, Austria.
